Emerald Coast (July 23, 2019 - July 28, 2019)

Kyle Campbell, KCampbell21@gsb.columbia.edu

Welcome to the beautiful Emerald Coast!

I look forward to soaking up some rays with my fellow classmates while enjoying the soft, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters of the Florida Panhandle. We will jet-ski, sail boats, fish (or scuba dive!) and spend a day on the famous Crab Island. The plan is to stay at the Emerald Grande, a fantastic resort sporting its own private beach and access to all of the best activities (not to mention the amazing McGuire's Irish Pub right across the street!). The hotel has 4-bedroom apartments that can easily fit 5-6 people, so the cost is very affordable on a per person basis.

Note - day activities may change depending on weather and group interest.

July 23, 2019 Arrive at Destin/Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPA). Welcome dinner.

July 24, 2019 Relax on the beach, jet-skis/sail boats, beach volleyball

July 25, 2019 Chartered fishing trip (or scuba diving, depending on group interest)

July 26, 2019 Enjoy the boardwalk shops, activities (Escape Room!), and picnic on the beach.

July 27, 2019 Jump on the pontoon boat and head to Crab Island. All day on the water with plenty of beverages to hold us over!

July 28, 2019 Last minute beach time, brunch, and departing flights

Expected Cost (per individual) - $1,772.00

Sign up deadline: Four weeks prior to trip start date (all sign-ups after this will move on to a waitlist and be confirmed subject to availability).

*** Please note airfare/visa costs are not included in these estimates - this will greatly vary depending on where individuals are coming from.

Napa Valley (July 29, 2019 - August 3, 2019)

Sean Yao, SYao21@gsb.columbia.edu

Welcome to sunny California!

I look forward to showing my fellow classmates around wine country, the largest freshwater lake in California, and my family's personal home. We will drink wine, jet-ski, shuck oysters, and tour vineyards.

A word of warning though, because it is California, for every 4-5 people, 1 person will need to rent a car and act as a driver during this trip. I will be driving as well, but my car can only hold 5 people including myself!

Note - day activities may change depending on what is available

July 29, 2019 Arrive at San Francisco International Airport. Welcome dinner.

July 30, 2019 Relax, take a tour of the Yao family wine distillery. Taste several types of port and eat local food.

July 31, 2019 Drive to the California coast to purchase oysters, bring back to house and shuck!

August 1, 2019 Wine tour through several vineyards in Napa Valley.

August 2, 2019 Jet-ski on Lake Berryessa and relax at house.

August 3, 2019 Drive down to San Francisco and explore the city. Departing flights.
